Fair, private and responsible
- The EPA supports hiring decisions. It never replaces an interview, a demonstration lesson, reference checks or police verification, and must not be used on its own to offer or decline a job.
- It is not a medical or psychological diagnosis.
- Your detailed result is private. Schools see it only if you choose to share it, and you can see every school that viewed it.
- You can download, stop sharing or delete your result at any time, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- All questions are original and are written for Indian schools, in line with NEP 2020, NCF, RTE and POCSO.
Frequently asked questions
Is the EPA free?
Yes. The EPA is free for every registered teacher and school leader on EduStaffIndia during the beta.
Which track should I choose?
Choose the stage you teach or want to teach. Teachers can choose KG, Primary, Middle or High School. The School Leaders track is for accounts registered as school leaders.
How long does it take?
About 60 minutes in five timed sections. You can take a short break between sections, and you have 48 hours to finish once you start.
Can I take it on my phone?
Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers, including on slow connections. Your answers are saved as you go.
Can I change my answers?
Yes — within a section, until its time ends or you finish the section. Once a section ends, its answers are final.
Should I try to give the "best" answers about myself?
No. Answer honestly. The questionnaire checks for consistency and over-favourable answers, and trying to look good usually makes a result less reliable.
Will I see the same questions if I retake it?
Never. Every candidate gets a freshly assembled assessment, and you are never shown a question you have seen before. You can retake the EPA once every 90 days.
Who can see my result?
Only you, unless you switch on sharing. Teachers can share with verified schools they apply to; school leaders choose the verified schools. You can switch sharing off at any time and see every school that viewed your report.
Is this a psychological or medical test?
No. The EPA is a hiring-support tool. It gives no diagnosis. Schools are told to use it only alongside interviews, demonstration lessons, references and police verification — never on its own to offer or decline a job.
What does "Beta — provisional norms" mean?
Your scores are compared with provisional norms. As more educators take the EPA, the norms will be updated from real data.
